Journalling: The broken quest for healing

peaceful anticipationI’ve been reminded again how much I need to journal as a processing tool as well as an invitation for God to speak. I never get started because I’m stuck on how little time I have for such a healthy endeavor. I just decided…if all I have time for is a single sentence per day. I guess that’s a start right? Here are my sentences from a few weeks ago:

Monday: I asked God to give you words that would stick around til tomorrow
Instead of fading away with the light of the sun.

Tuesday: I asked God to help you leap over
Boulders, mountains, and canyons that keep you from us.

Wednesday: I asked God for glimpses of the real you.
Not shuttered and gated, but open and free.

Thursday: I asked God to help me see how you see.
What color is the world today?

Friday: I asked God to heal you.

Saturday: I asked God to heal me.

Today I asked God to show you how much you are loved.

Simple as that, right? Do you journal? What does that look like?
